An "American Idol" winner was hospitalized Monday night in Charlotte for a medication overdose, WCNC reports. Sources told the station that the singer’s condition was not life-threatening.

Fantasia Barrino was taken to Carolinas Medical Center-Pineville at about 8:55 p.m. Monday, according to sources.

The sources did not know what type of medication was involved, according to the report, and it was not known whether the overdose was accidental.

Barrino has been in the news lately after she was named in a lawsuit and accused of making a sex tape with a married man.
