CNN is developing a 7 p.m. weekday show for the former co-anchor of a show on another cable news channel, the New York Post’s Page Six reports.

The anchor is Erin Burnett, who recently left as co-host of CNBC’s morning business show “Squawk on the Street.”

Burnett’s show is set to debut in June and will replace "John King USA," the story says. The program will provide a lead-in for Eliot Spitzer at 8 p.m.

In addition to “Squawk on the Street,” Burnett hosted the afternoon show "Street Signs" on CNBC. She has appeared on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” “Today” and “Nightly News,” and on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.” She also has surfaced on “The Apprentice” as an adviser to Donald Trump.

  1. They should just have her replace Spitzer, rather than a lead-in.
