The interim chief executive of OWN, the Oprah Winfrey Network–who is also chief operating officer of Discovery Communications–has had his compensation sweetened, reports the Los Angeles Times’ Company Town blog.

Under the new deal, Peter Liguori will receive at least $250,000 and as much as $500,000 in bonuses this year for his work at OWN, on top of his base salary of $1 million, the article notes.

Liguori will also receive $60,000 from the company for expenses relating to spending his time in Los Angeles, where OWN is based, since he had taken an apartment in Washington, D.C., to be close to Discovery’s Maryland headquarters, the piece notes.
