The former head of Lifetme TV’s development department has a new television job reports Deadline.com. JoAnn Alfano has been hired by Brillstein Entertainment Partners to be the company’s new president of television.

In a statement, Brillstein CEO Jon Liebman said, "JoAnn has impressed all of us with her experience and drive, and we are very fortunate that she will be leading the television company."

After having developed "Drop Dead Diva" and other shows for Lifetime, Alfano departed the network in March.

She succeeds longtime Brillstein exec Peter Traugott, who is leaving to form his own production company.
