Wednesday Ratings: Fox, NBC Reality Lineups Finish in Dead Heat

With CBS in repeats and ABC airing almost all repeats–the exception being a low-rated special edition of “20/20” at 10 p.m.–Fox and NBC went head-to-head with their Wednesday night reality lineups … and ended up in a tie.

TVbytheNumbers.com reported that the two networks finished the night with 2.8 average ratings in adults 18-49, well out in front of Univision (1.4 average), ABC (1.3) and CBS (1.0). Total viewers went to NBC with an average of 9.7 million to Fox’s 7.1 million, followed by CBS (5.4 million), ABC (4.1 million) and Univision (3.5 million).

At 8 p.m. Fox’s two-hour "So You Think You Can Dance" started off with a 2.65 average in the 18-49 demographic, besting NBC’s "Minute to Win It" with a 1.3 average in the same demo.

At 9 p.m. hour one of NBC’s "America’s Got Talent" had a mean score of 3.2 in the 18-49 demo, beating the second hour of "So You Think You Can Dance" with its 2.8 average.

Hour two of "America’s Got Talent" at 10 p.m. rose to a 3.9 average in the 18-49 demo for the hour. Its lone competition was a special edition of "20/20," which had a mean score of 1.25 in the 18-49 demo for the hour.
