Famed and acclaimed sports writer-producer-director Bud Greenspan will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 27th Annual Sports Emmy Awards.

Peter Price, president and CEO of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, made the announcement Thursday. The Sports Emmy Awards will take place Monday, May 1, at the Frederick P. Rose Hall at Lincoln Center in New York.
