Fox Networks Group president-CEO Tony Vinciquerra gave his most-likely “unintentional” support to an electronic buying and selling system for local ad sales as supported by the Television Bureau of Advertising, MediaPost reports. Vinciquerra’s support for a streamlined system came after explaining the difficulties that can arise for local TV ad buyers seeking to make purchases across several stations, as it can often involve many point people and lead to confusion. An electronic-data model can do away with the “complexity” of making ad buys, according to the site.
