U.S. Rep. Henry Waxman, D-Calif., said he expects Congress to delay the transition to digital television transmission, Broadcasting & Cable reports. Waxman, the new chair of the House Energy & Commerce Committee, had proposed a bill that would delay the transition to June 12 from Feb. 17 and said his bill is still on track to be discussed at a hearing on Wednesday.
