Nielsen assures that it will be ready for the DTV switch, regardless of when lawmakers decide it will happen, MediaPost.com reports. According to a Nielsen’s Senior VP of Insights Pat McDonough, the switch will have less impact than a typical holiday season, when some consumers install new TV sets and/or other technology and cause Nielsen to troubleshoot how those households are metered for ratings, the site says.
