In a move that should make it easier for customers to pull the trigger on small purchases, Amazon announced that it will offer free shipping on items priced below $10 and weighing less than 8 ounces, CNN reports.
Unlike other shipping deals, the offer is not limited to Prime customers, and it is not subject to a minimum total purchase.
“Amazon has been also trying to sweeten the deal for Amazon Prime members, who were initially offered two-day shipping for free, but could now be getting free shipping within just a few hours,” CNN notes. “Amazon is also offering one-hour food delivery for certain neighborhoods with its Prime Now service.”
The company did not reveal when the new offer would go into effect, the report notes.
