More details have surfaced about the upcoming 23rd installment in the James Bond movie series, and it is shaping up as an impressive project.

The latest Bond Girl will be Severine, played by Berenice Marlohe.

The title has been confirmed as “Skyfall,” according to Deadline.com, which reports that Daniel Craig, who plays 007, will be joined in the cast by Albert Finney and Oscar winner Javier Bardem. Another Oscar winner, Sam Mendes ("American Beauty"), will direct.

And, as usual, Academy Award-winner Judi Dench will reprise her role as M.

The film’s budget is in the neighborhood of $230 million, the story reports, and filming begins next Monday, Nov. 7, 2011. "Skyfall" is set to open in America on Nov. 9, 2012, after premiering in England Oct. 26, the story says.

The plot for the new Bond is still under wraps, but the press release offered this overview: "Bond’s loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her; MI6 comes under attack, and Bond must track down and destroy the threat."

It was confirmed that Bardem will play the villain, although it remains a matter of speculation whether that villain will be the classic character Blofeld, as has been hinted by screenwriter John Logan.
