A hit broadcast comedy series is about to unveil an episode in which one of the characters drops the “F-bomb,” TheWrap.com reports.

During this week’s proceedings at the Television Critics Association press tour, the executive producer of ABC’s award-winning situation comedy "Modern Family," Steven Levitan, revealed that the story line is on tap for this season, the piece reports. The character who will speak the word is Lily, Mitchell and Cam’s little daughter.

Lily will say the word, but audiences will not actually hear it. The episode has been titled "Little Bo Bleep," hinting that the offensive word will be censored.

Levitan explained that Lily’s use of the word isn’t about shocking the audience. He said he feels every family has had to deal with a child who says things that he or she shouldn’t.

"We thought it was a very natural story since, as parents, we’ve all been through this,” Levitan said. “ABC will tell you ‘Modern Family’ gets away with a lot, because I think it’s all about context."
