Fox extended “Prison Break” for a fourth season, but canceled Parker Posey vehicle “The Return of Jezebel James” after two episodes, Daily Variety reports. The third season of “Prison Break” was cut short after 13 episodes by the Writers Guild of America strike, the newspaper says.

  1. why do networks kill shows so quickly, instead of moving them to cable networks where they might thrive among a niche audience. “Jezebel James” seems like a good fit for Lifetime – no?

  2. Totally agree. I understand that the girly audience is not that much into FOX due to the nature of their other series. Thus, killing too soon the Jezebel James series will maintain that audience on good cable series, rather than attract them to FOX with agressive marketing. Lifetime should get Jezebel James series.

  3. Cut too soon. Good and getting better with good cast. Poor timr slot.
