John Pritchett will replace Bruce Gowers as director of “American Idol,” Daily Variety reports. Mr. Pritchett, the show’s technical director, has also worked on shows such as the Billboard Music Awards and “Dancing With the Stars,” the newspaper says. Gowers left “Idol” late last month.
