Ryan Seacrest, who makes approximately $20 million a year combined for his work hosting “American Idol” and several E! special events, is gunning to be his generation’s version of Larry King and Dick Clark, the Washington Post says. Mr. Seacrest’s pursuits include investments in restaurants and a fashion line, in addition to a half-dozen of his own media companies. Next month, three hours of his daily five-hour radio show will be syndicated nationally, with Seacrest’s company retaining 10 minutes of ad-selling rights, the newspaper says.
