Television networks are sending little as half the executives to New York for the upfronts next month as they did in previous years largely because of loss of revenue from the Writers Guild of America strike, Daily Variety reports. Many New York conference rooms haven’t been booked yet while some television pilots are still in the casting stage, the newspaper says.
