No ‘Deal’ as Bush Bombs

“Deal or No Deal” matched its lowest ratings ever despite an appearance by President George Bush on Monday, the Hollywood Reporter says. The contestant to whom Mr. Bush offered encouragement also took one deal too many. At one point Army Captain Joseph Kobes had an offer of $144,000, but took home $78,000 instead.

  1. That quip about a “$3-trillion Deal or No Deal” was pretty funny…but that sounds like the ghost of Bob Orben, President Ford’s gagwriter…or maybe the handiwork of Ben Stein, longtime GOP loyalist, actor, game show emcee, and writer?

  2. Bush sounded so scripted, so unnatural and stiff. Like he was constipated.

  3. A $3trillion budget is about about as funny as Bush looking for WMD’s in the Oval office. Humor is not his forte. Mass destruction is.

  4. Amazing freakin blog here. I almost cried while reading it!
