Canadian broadcaster CanWest has acquired NBC’s new original series “Knight Rider,” “My Own Worst Enemy,” “Kath and Kim” and “The Office” spinoff in advance of the upcoming L.A. Screenings, the Hollywood Reporter says. The broadcaster also renewed NBC Universal’s returning series “House,” “Heroes,” “The Office,” “Life,” “Friday Night Lights” and reality competition show “The Biggest Loser,” the newspaper says. CanWest’s early acquisition of NBC’s new programs allows the broadcaster to get ahead of the competition, the newspaper notes.
