CBS is considering adding a second night of comedy to its schedule based on a series of strong comedy pilots, Daily Variety reports. The untitled Ed Yeager/Ric Swartzlander sitcom from ABC Studios starring Jay Mohr as a divorced father balancing the many women in his life is generating the most buzz, the newspaper says. Matt Tarses’ and Universal Media Studios’ “Worst Week,” written by Tarses, and CBS Paramount Network TV’s untitled Andrew Secunda pilot also are strong contenders, the newspaper notes.
