Google Fights for DTV Space

Google co-founder Larry Page argued at a presentation organized by unlicensed-device backer New America Foundation that mobile unlicensed devices should be able to share the digital TV spectrum with TV stations, Broadcasting & Cable reports. Google hopes to use the white spaces between TV channels for faster wireless Internet access, the newspaper says. TV broadcasters are worried the devices could interfere with their broadcast signals, the newspaper notes.
