CBS President-CEO Leslie Moonves expressed faith in the strength and stability of broadcast television at the Sanford C. Bernstein Strategic Decisions Conference on Thursday, Broadcasting & Cable reports. Moonves, who touted CBS’ “Worst Week” as the best comedy pilot he’s seen in five years, claimed that broadcast TV is the best avenue for reaching a mass audience, the newspaper says. He also revealed that CBS’ acquisition of CNET, which shares some of the same top 20 advertisers as CBS, will raise the company’s digital revenues from $200 million to $600 million, the newspaper notes.
