Oprah Ratings Dip… Why?

May 27, 2008  •  Post A Comment

Ratings for “The Oprah Winfrey Show” have fallen nearly 7% this year, the third straight year of declines, the New York Times points out. While some cite viewer disenchantment with her involvement in politics, executives at her production company, Harpo, and her syndication company, CBS Television distribution, point out that Oprah’s audience is still one-third larger than the next-most-popular daytime show. General declines in TV audiences also are to blame, they noted.
