Tony DiSanto, head programmer at MTV, is denying rumors that he is replacing Dawn Ostroff, president of The CW, the struggling “Gossip Girl” network, according to Nikki Finke’s Deadline Hollywood Daily. Ms. Finke says she’d heard Ms. Ostroff was out three weeks ago and Mr. DiSanto was in. Then the story went cold. Now she says she’s hearing Ms. Ostroff could fail upward and run the Oprah Winfrey Network being launched by Discovery Communications.
