Warren Cowan, whose public-relations clients during a six-decade career included Merv Griffin and Elizabeth Taylor, died in Los Angeles at age 87 after battling cancer, Daily Variety reports. His Rogers & Cowan firm became the world’s largest entertainment publicist before being sold to U.K.-based Shandwick in 1988, the newspaper says.
