Clinton’s Possible Exit Covered Heavily

Political reporters focused more on when Democratic candidate Sen. Hillary Clinton would exit the presidential race than any other subject, including gas prices, Sen. John McCain’s statements and home foreclosures, the Associated Press reports, citing the Project for Excellence in Journalism. The amount of coverage dedicated to the subject was “inappropriate” because of an impression that people were trying to shove her out of the race,” the wire service says, citing NBC anchor emeritus Tom Brokaw.
