Jun 2, 2008  •  Post A Comment

A fire blazed on Universal Studios’ Hollywood lot, destroying street sets recently used in TV show “Monk,” “Crossing Jordan” and “House,” according to the Associated Press. The fire also burned 40,000 to 50,000 video and film reels with footage from “Miami Vice,” “I Love Lucy,” and other programs. NBC Universal Studios CEO Ron Meyer said the company had duplicates of everything. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Not far from the fire at the MTV Movie Awards, there was smoke, but no mention of the fire, the AP says.
