A GroupM study found that the mean average of time spent online is expected to rise to 46 minutes from 27 minutes in 2005, Broadcasting & Cable reports. However, the study claims traditional media forms such as television are not being neglected because people are multitasking, using new and old media, the newspaper says. The study did not address the influence of online video streaming on TV ratings, the newspaper notes.
