A National Association of Broadcasters survey found that while 89% of viewers polled in Wilmington, N.C., were aware of the coming digital TV transition, only 18% knew Wilmington stations are going to pull the plug early on analog signals, Broadcasting & Cable reports. The NAB claims the low awareness rate is due in part to the fact that the announcement was only made a few weeks ago, the newspaper says. NAB surveyed 501 TV viewers in the market, the newspaper notes.
