NBC is pushing advertisers to buy unsold Olympic ad spots during the upfront sales deals, the New York Post reports. Ad executives estimate NBC is $150 million-$300 million short of its target goal of $1.1 billion-$1.2 billion in Olympic ad sales, with the network charging more than $750,000 for a single spot, the newspaper says. Ad buyers point to the pro-Tibet protests and a slowing economy as contributing to slowing Olympic ad sales, the newspaper notes.
