NBC Universal will launch a campaign cross-promoting the Summer Olympics and Universal Pictures’ “The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor,” which are both set in China, the Hollywood Reporter says. An extended 15-second spot combining footage from the two productions will run during Tuesday’s “American Gladiators” on NBC, the newspaper says. Variations of the ad spot will also be shown across NBCU’s cable networks and in theater pods, the newspaper notes.
