PBS will beam “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood” to member stations only once a week this fall, as opposed to its current five-day-a-week schedule, the Pittsburgh Post Gazette reports. Stations that would like to continue airing the program Monday through Friday will be able to stockpile a season’s worth of episodes this summer, the newspaper says. PBS said the new distribution plan makes more sense since the program is out of production, but stockpiling episodes will be a concerted, maybe impossible, effort for stations, the newspaper notes.
