International broadcasters are pushing the International Olympic Committee and Chinese government officials to lift some restrictions on Olympic games coverage, the New York Times reports. While NBC has exclusive rights to all things Beijing Games related, other broadcasters are hoping to be able to cover other events, such as protests and demonstrations, surrounding the games. Pressure will also be on NBC as to how it decides to cover similar events, the paper says.
