Consumers Still Prefer TV to Online Streaming

A study by the Nielsen Co. and the Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing found that 94% of those who subscribe to cable or satellite service prefer to watch programming on their TV sets rather than online, the Hollywood Reporter says. One-third of those surveyed said they have watched at least one program online, with most doing so to catch up on missed episodes, the newspaper says. Among those who have watched programs online, 87% watched on a TV network’s Web site, the newspaper notes.
