Five freshman series from last season that were renewed, but haven’t aired new episodes in at least nine months, are planning a fall relaunch, the New Jersey Star-Ledger reports. The creators of NBC’s “Life” and “Chuck” are structuring their season premieres to function as second pilots, while the creators of ABC’s “Pushing Daisies,” “Private Practice” and “Dirty Sexy Money” have taken the time off the air to re-evaluate what works and doesn’t work about their shows, the newspaper says.
