KTLA-TV in Los Angeles recently completed a round of layoffs that included on-air reporters and behind-the-scenes crew, the Los Angeles Times reports. KTLA, which like the Times is owned by Tribune Co., said it executed the layoffs in order to increase newsroom efficiency in light of the difficult financial times at the company, the paper says.
