Sen. Barack Obama’s campaign will be running ads during NBC Universal’s coverage of the Olympic Games, Television Week reports. The campaign has bought a $5 million package of spots on both broadcast and cable, TV Week says. It’s been a while since a presidential candidate has bought time on a broadcast network. Other than Rudy Guiliani buying a few spots on “Fox News Sunday” during the primaries, the last presidential candidate to spring for broadcast network ad time was Bob Dole, who bought a single spot in 1996.
