Broadcasters preparing to air the Summer Olympics have been battling with China officials over issues related to censorship, the Associated Press reports. Officials have delayed filming permits to broadcasters, who have been constantly questioned about what they’ll be shooting and have been threatened with fines, the wire service says.

It’s a totalitarian state and despite their PR to look “People Friendly”, you ain’t seen noth’in yet.
Sure, I hope China continues to move to an open society. But it is not and has a LONG way to go to get there.
Someone said it, “When in Rome, do as the Romans do”. If not, then some journalists will either be expelled, or worse.
The Olympic events have rules and so do the Chinese. They have made them very clear. I don’t agree with them, but that’s the way it is. People want to break them, then they have to be willing to pay the price.
I have no sympathy for any foreign reporter/journalist/photographer who gets caught and locked up.
