Russert’s Replacement Speaks

Jul 29, 2008  •  Post A Comment

Mark Whitaker will replace the late Tim Russert as NBC News’ Washington bureau chief, TVWeek reports. Whitaker, a senior vice president at the division, says he’s going to take time to get his feet wet in the job before making any changes. Decisions about who the permanent moderator on “Meet the Press” will be and how the show’s format might change will be considered together, TVWeek quotes him as saying.

  1. Not sure if the NBC folks read this, but Meet the Press should always have the influence Tim left on it. Rename the show “Tim Russert’s Meet the Press” with (insert host name here).
