Zucker’s denial at the Allen & Co. annual media summit has slowed reports that GE might put NBC Universal on the block. The NBCU CEO announced that the company wants to spin off its iconic lighting and appliance businesses in a move to reshape company’s portfolio of industrial, financial and media assets, the wire notes.
