ABC is expected to pick up one comedy and one drama series this Friday, in addition to greenlighting three comedies and three dramas, the Hollywood Reporter says. Potential front-runners include ABC Studios’ “The Castle” starring Nathan Fillion, Sony TV’s dramedy “The Unusuals,” Rob Thomas’ “Cupid” remake, WBTV’s fantasy “Captain Cook’s Extraordinary Atlas” and the untitled Dave Hemingson legal dramedy, the newspaper reports. Meanwhile, the comedy projects receiving buzz are “Never Better” starring Damon Wayans, Kristin Newman’s Alyssa Milano starrer and Victor Fresco’s untitled office comedy, the newspaper notes.
