“Ugly Betty’s” America Ferrera was named Chevy Entertainer of the Year at the 2008 Alma Awards on Sunday, the Hollywood Reporter says. Singers Linda Rondstadt and Shakira were also recognized with the Trailblazer Award and the Humanitarian Award, respectively. The awards show, sponsored by the National Council of La Raza, will air on Sept. 12 on ABC, the trade reports.
