CBS is turning to “Criminal Minds’” executive producer and showrunner Ed Bernero to write an update of the 1970s series “Hawaii Five-O,” the Hollywood Reporter says. The series is expected to focus on Chris McGarrett, son of Steve and head of the Hawaiian state police department in the original series, the trade says.

  1. I love Hawaii Five-0 and will be on board for the sequel. 🙂

  2. That’s cool! Will we have sons of the other original characters too?

  3. I love HF-0 as well. I have to, however, be a bit critical of using poetic license to give Steve McGarrett a son when Steve was never married, much less had a son, during the original series. I hope the producers don’t go into the out-of-wedlock angle. Steve was a character which had few, if any, flaws. Don’t mess up the legacy, especially since Jack Lord is no longer with us. Anyone for James MacArthur as the Governor?

  4. Maybe they will do a show in which Thomas Magnum’s daughter joins Five-O for a case.

  5. I love the writing relevancy of your site and it will a beautiful decent work of presenting the info.
