‘Deal’ an Olympic Champion

A study found NBC’s “Deal or No Deal” rated highest in ad recall and intent-to-view for all NBC shows promoted during the Beijing Olympics, Broadcasting & Cable reports. Among Olympics viewers, 45% recalled ads promoting the game show, with the network’s other prime-time offerings “Heroes” and “The Office” not far behind in second and third place. If the study’s results are an indicator, then there’s trouble ahead for the new Molly Shannon/Selma Blair sitcom “Kath and Kim”: Only 31% of viewers recalled seeing spots for the show with only 13% intending to watch.
