One of TV’s most famous ships, Gilligan’s S.S. Minnow, is being restored so it can give the public three-hour tours of the vessel, now docked in Canada, the Victoria Times Colonist reports. The ship’s owner, Ken Schley of the Quality Foods grocery chain, isn’t a big fan of the classic sitcom “Gilligan’s Island,” but plans to use the Minnow to raise money for charity to promote his stores, the paper says.

Are they going to guarantee we get back to shore in 3 hours? I don’t want to end up on the island with a bunch of crazies like on Gilligan’s-
unless it’s with either Ginger or Mary Ann plus the captain, who could conveniently perform the nuptials! 🙂 LOL
