Hearst-Argyle TV Revenue Down

Aug 1, 2008  •  Post A Comment

Revenue for Hearst-Argyle Television fell 5.6% to $182.1 million in the second quarter due to weak local advertising and softness at its bigger TV stations, Broadcasting & Cable reports. TV advertising slipped 10% when not counting political advertising, the newspaper notes. The company’s NBC-affiliated stations are waiting to find out what will happen to their NBC Weather Plus venture with NBC Universal, which recently acquired the Weather Channel, the newspaper says.
