The National Association of Broadcasters wants stations to continue sending its signals to cable and satellite distributors for two weeks before and two weeks after the Feb. 17 digital switchover, even if they don’t have retransmission deals in place, TelevisionWeek reports. The National Cable & Telecommunications Association said that while the NAB was recognizing a real concern, the quiet period being proposed was too brief to prevent consumer confusion.
