NBC Beats Olympic Rating Promise

NBC’s ratings for the Olympics are surpassing what the network promised TV advertisers, Media Daily News reports. NBC offered a 14.5 average rating in prime time to advertisers, but its Olympics coverage has averaged a 17.2 rating so far, the Web site says. However, viewership typically decreases as the Olympics continue and then picks up again toward the end of the second week, the Web site notes.
