NBC News’ “Today” and “NBC Nightly News” have benefited in a big way from NBC’s prime-time Olympics ratings success, Media Life Magazine reports. The morning show is on track for its best week since the Turin Winter Games in 2006, while “Nightly News,” with a lead of about 2.5 million over ABC’s “World News Tonight,” hasn’t seen an advantage like this since the week Brian Williams took over for Tom Brokaw in November 2004.
