NBC has decided not to air Michael Phelps’ final race in the Beijing Olympics live on the West Coast, the Silicon Alley Insider reports. Although the 4×100 medley relay final is Saturday, West Coast audiences will have to wait until prime time to see if Phelps wins a record eighth gold medal in a single Olympics. NBC’s ratings for the games have been highest in West Coast markets.
