Wilmington, N.C. television stations conducted a 60-second test shutoff of their analog signals earlier this week to much success, Broadcasting & Cable reports. The FCC selected the market as the first to end analog-TV transmission in order to test the nationwide switch to digital television next February. Four channels conducted the minute-long test and none reported any complications, the trade says. Wilmington will go fully digital on Sept. 8.
